Mac OS X (Jaguar) version of MegaRIP 3.6.01 announced

For Immediate Release
MegaRIP 3.6.01 available for Mac OS X Jaguar
11th of October 2002 Sydney Australia

In a move to embrace the Mac OS X operating system, Serendipity Software announces the availability of MegaRIP for Mac OS X. With this move their entire product line is now available for Mac OS X.

MegaRIP is a raster image processor capable of driving most large format as well as professional desktop colour printers. Users can send jobs to MegaRIP via their system's printing subsystem or directly copy Postsrcipt™, TIFF, JPEG, EPS, Scitex CT and even plotfiles to its drop folders. Jobs will then be output to one of the supported printers or as disk files using one of the supported file formats.

The OS X version of MegaRIP is a native implementation and it supports multiple G4 processors as well as the G4 Velocity Engine. Serendipity Software President & CEO Peter Skarpetis said: "advertising agencies, short run poster makers and graphic design shops have long been Mac dominated. Now they are all trying to move to OS X. By making MegaRIP available for that platform we are giving these users another quality application to make their transition easier".

The complete set of features available on other platform versions of MegaRIP 3.6.01 have been made available on the OS X version. Existing customers wanting to crossgrade to the OS X version now have the opportunity to do so.
