Serendipity Software announces MegaRIP version 3.6.03

Serendipity Software are pleased to announce the latest release of MegaRIP. V3.6.03 is to be the last release of V3 as work continues on V4 which is due for release end of Q1 to early Q2 next year. This release adds some enhancements to existing features and additional compatibility. "We now support the Xrite DTP41 spectrophotometer and DTP34 densitometer in USB mode for MacOSX" said Peter Skarpetis, CEO of Serendipity Software. "We have been concentrating most of our efforts on new features for V4 which we are very excited about."

The new Epson 4000 is now supported.
Several bug fixes have been applied.

The highlight for this release is a new separated printing mode most usefull to the screen printing industry. Using this mode MegaRIP will seperate a job into its component plates. Each plate will then be halftone screened at the angle corresponding to the plate's colour. Finally, each plate will be printed separately in black ink. This way screen printers can produce film quickly and cheaply using transparent film and commodity inkjet printers.
