Softproofing Add-On Features
All Serendipity Blackmagic product packages have the option to include the Softproofing Add-on, designed specifically with the demands of publishing and newspaper industries in mind. This option gives your Blackmagic proofing software access to all advanced softproofing features available to Veripress.
Features of the Softproofing Add-on include:
Bookfilter and BookMonitor
Bookfilter greatly improves the speed, efficiency and automation of softproofing in publishing press environments. Bookfilter utilises the same planning files used to put the finished publications together on the press, allowing operators to softproof large, multi-section and/or multi-edition publications, such as newspapers, at the touch of the screen.
Multicolour ICC Support
Allows precise on-screen proofing of multicolour press environments.
Press Agent
Enables Blackmagic to connect directly to supported press consoles via network port. When press operators turn or load a page on the press console, either by using a button or by flipping a camera recognised page, the corresponding page will be automatically loaded for softproofing.
De-Impose on the Fly
Imposed press sheets can be submitted with an attached imposition signature, allowing jobs to be softproofed as de-imposed pages "on-the-fly" without requiring additional rendering time.
Spectro Tool
The Spectro Tool uses a supported Spectrophotometer to measure a printed proof, compare it to the softproof and display delta E on-screen.
Touch Console Extras
Access to additional Touch Console and configuration options, including choice of on-load entry screens and navigate options, Flipbook control and a HUD (heads-up display) for the Virtual Loupe displaying CMYK dot coverage percentages at a single point or averaged area matched to the line screen of the proof.
