Bureau
Description
Serendipity Blackmagic Bureau software provides high performance rasterising, colour management and printing to a wide variety of proofing devices. The software provides the ability to receive and export Serendipity Blackmagic completed files using the systems built-in data compression and decompression software. Serendipity Blackmagic Bureau uses Java[TM] remote clients to access, control and configure the Serendipity Blackmagic software. Serendipity Blackmagic Bureau (Postscript level II Rip) is included and provides pre-flight ripping and printing from both composite and separated Postscript files. PDF files is also supported. Postscript files can be accepted from Macintosh, PC or UNIX platforms. Serendipity Blackmagic Import / Export driver is included with desktop drop folders supporting TIFF 6.0, Scitex CT and EPS files.
Compression
Serendipity Blackmagic Bureau Software automatically decompresses incoming completed files from a Serendipity Blackmagic host. Serendipity Blackmagic Bureau can be configured to send completed files to other Serendipity Blackmagic Systems

Drop Folders
Serendipity Blackmagic Bureau supports drop folders for all published printer queues.
Polling
Serendipity Blackmagic Bureau can be configured to poll Servers for folders containing Postscript, TIFF 6.0, Scitex CT and EPS files. A Rip is configured using the Rips menu under the ControlPanel. This allows files to be automatically received, processed and printed. The Rips menu requires the following information:
Username - Password - Hostname / TCP/IP.

Serendipity Blackmagic Bureau is ideally used for pre flight checking / proof of concept and poster making purposes.
Special Colour Support
Serendipity Blackmagic Bureau supports Postscript files sent in separation mode. ie: supports trapped and files with special colours. Serendipity Blackmagic Bureau also supports unlimited special / spot plates from a single Postscript file. The system will look up their names in its special colour database and simulate them using their CMYK equivalents.
RGB Embedded Images
RGB Images embedded in separated Postscript files are printed as grey.
PassThrough mode
When Serendipity Blackmagic Bureau finds a printer native language file in its imaging queue, it will pass it through without processing. This is usefull for routing files through or for sending CAM paths to devices with a cutting knife.
