Macintosh optimisations

The mac version of the server has been made to take advantage on many aspects of the platfrom:

• many processes have been optimised to utilise the PowerPC G4/G5 Velocity Engine to deliver a high level of performance. All types of descreening including RDT and the application of correction curves are such examples.
• the server is a native OS X implementation and as such it does not relly on the Classic environment.
• the user interface has been re-written and it is now offered as a native, high performing OS X implementation
• the multi-threaded architecture of the server supports all the PowerPC G4/G5 processors in your system.
