The C5 Client & Megarip C5
![]()
Simplify your workflow with the new C5 Client, available for use with existing Blackmagic and Megarip products; or as a dedicated product - Megarip C5.
C5 is a high speed raster image processor (RIP) designed for the digital photographic, exhibition, short-run poster and billboard industries.
C5 provides a streamlined, user-friendly interface, built around a cutting edge colour management system. It includes features and applications created for photographers, design professionals and users of large and grand format inkjet printers.
All C5 colour management is done using a full 16-bit, ICC v4 compliant engine. There's no need to create paper profiles or do ICC profiling with C5 - colour management comes pre-configured with your printer's Media Pack*.

Printing with C5
Limited only by the size of your paperφ, printing with C5 is effortless.
Files can be submitted directly from the Assets, Jobs or Printers section of the C5 interface, or jobs can be intelligently arranged and auto-rotated to best use the space available on your print media.
Accepted file formats include TIFF, JPEG, PNG, Adobe Photoshop PSD and Postscript Level 3 - PS, EPS and PDF.
If precision placement is key, use the integrated Studio application to lay out your jobs for printing.
Drag & drop files for processing via a designated Printer or add them to the Asset queue for use with Studio.
Select a job from the queue and softproof it before committing to print with the built-in SoftProof application. View the original, imaged file or the printed, rendered output with a simple click.
Monitor job progress as they advance through the system from Imaging to Rendering to Printing via the Jobs Queue.
* Media Packs are self-contained database items, containing calibrated paper profiles, linearisation data and output ICC colour profiles, tailored for individual printer papers and media. Available for download from the Serendipity Software website, or supplied by your Dealer.
See the output drivers page for C5 supported printer models.
φ Size limitations may apply if using the C5 Client with particular Blackmagic and Megarip products - see the Megarip Comparison Chart and Blackmagic Comparison Chart for further information.
