Upgrade & Download Policy
Upgrade Warranty
Purchases of core products, or "out of warranty" upgrades carry an upgrade warranty of one year. This means that if any additional upgrades become available within a year of the purchase they are available free of charge. "Additional upgrades" excludes releases of software in which the major version number changes eg. upgrades from version 2 to version 3.
Purchases of additional input filters and output drivers do not constitute a software upgrade. If, for example, you are purchasing an output driver for a new printer and it requires the latest core software is installed, an "out of warranty" upgrade will have to be purchased separately if the one year warranty for the core product has expired.
Download Policy
Only dealers are allowed access to download updates and patches. The dealers must adhere to the upgrade policy. Anyone purchasing an upgrade will be shipped a CD containing the release unless Serendipity Software Pty Ltd are advised that the dealer will be supplying the CD to the customer. The upgrades on the web site do not contain all items and are only meant to be used for servicing existing installations. Serendipity Software Pty Ltd recommends that all new installations be done with a full CD release.
